RUSSELL BUCHANAN

Russell has been practicing law in Wellington since 1979.  Russell is an experienced Court lawyer and advocate as well as a Resolution Institute (previously known as LEADR – IAMA) accredited mediator and an accredited Family Dispute Resolution mediator.  Russell also has considerable experience dealing with employment relationship issues, personal grievances, disputes and investigations.

Russell is also an experienced property lawyer and deals with residential and commercial property transactions, conveyancing, leases, family trusts, wills and estates.
As a proven problem solver, Russell knows how to get the best out of most situations. Whether you are buying or selling a business or a residential property, Russell is particularly adept at getting ‘the deal’ across the line.

Litigation is not usually desirable but it is sometimes necessary. Russell has also been retained to investigate and report on a number of sensitive and confidential matters such as allegations of sexual abuse and discrimination in the work place. Russell has also been employed to design and help implement processes and procedures for employers, clubs, charities, incorporated societies and trust boards.  Russell has considerable experience in the preparation and drafting of a wide variety of legal documents including contracts, deeds, wills, rules and constitutions.
